Everyone who registers for a class must be a member of the NC Gourd Society (membership not required if you are just ordering meals). If you are not a member, the registrar will add $15 to your total.

Additional information about registration

Membership

Membership is required to take a class except for kids’ classes.

Membership is $15/year; join at https://ncgourdsociety.org/about/pay-your-dues/. To check to see if you are a member in good standing, email the membership chair at NCGourdSociety.Membership at gmail.com. Also, the registrar will check your membership status and add $15 if you are not a member.

How registrations are processed

Registration will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis.

  • Every registration is time-stamped.
  • If a class fills, you will be added to the waiting list.
  • The registrar generally sends you an email confirmation / invoice with payment instructions within 24 hours. The email is sent by ncgfregr at dragonworks.info so it may go to your spam or junk folder. If you don’t get this email within 24 hours, feel free to contact the registrar ncgourdsociety at gmail.com.
  • To secure your class spot, you must pay within 7 days either on Paypal or by sending a check to the treasurer. If the treasurer has not received your payment within 7 days, your spot will be released. If there is a waiting list for a class, the next person on the list will be notified that they have a seat in the class.

Schedule

  • June 16 – Open class registration for everyone. 
  • August 20 – Last day to register for classes and meals. If payment is not received by August 27, your spot will be released. You may be able to register as a walk-in student during the festival.
  • August 27 – Last day to drop a class or or meal. NCGS will keep $10 of the class fee and refund the rest. No refunds after August 27.
